Lee Warner, PhD, MPH, is a leadership coach and consultant who partners with senior leaders navigating complexity, transition, and high-stakes decision-making. He is the Owner and Principal of Lee Warner Coaching & Consulting, LLC.

With more than 35 years of experience in public health, Dr. Warner previously held senior leadership roles at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, most recently serving as Director of the Women’s Health and Fertility Branch in the Division of Reproductive Health. In this role, he led national maternal and infant health data systems, oversaw the development of clinical contraception guidance, and advanced adolescent reproductive health initiatives. Earlier, as Associate Director for Science for the Division, he managed a $45 million scientific portfolio leading more than 175 staff and also served in a senior leadership role during the agency’s COVID-19 response.

Throughout his career, Dr. Warner has led research and national initiatives focused on contraception, adolescent pregnancy prevention, postpartum depression, STI/HIV prevention, infertility, disability, and fatherhood. He has authored more than 150 publications and served on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Advisory Panel for Obstetrics and Gynecologic Devices.

Today, Dr. Warner advises executives, university deans, institute leaders, and senior public health professionals across government, academia, and nonprofit organizations. His coaching approach creates space for leaders to think strategically, navigate conflict, and lead with greater clarity in environments shaped by competing priorities and constant change.

Known for his direct, pragmatic style, Dr. Warner’s work is grounded in the belief that leaders are inherently capable and resourceful. Drawing on decades of executive leadership experience, he helps clients strengthen self-awareness, challenge assumptions, and improve communication, decision-making, and organizational alignment.

Dr. Warner holds a PhD and MPH in Epidemiology from the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and executive coaching certifications from the Emory University Goizueta Business School.
